Four simple facts about this site:
- I am not a famous celebrity!
- I am not a famous sportsman!
- I am certainly not famous for being famous! (like many celebrities)
- I am however an active male who has continued to be very active through most of his life. An above average school boy sportsman, followed by a lengthy professional life, supported by activities such as surfing, cycling, group fitness and gym.
I make these points because I am NOT PAID to promote one product over another. And since I am not a wealthy celebrity, I am not likely to have expensive items ‘gifted’ to me, as do most celebrities. In most cases, where I speak from personal experience, I will have actually purchased the item with my own money. So yes, I feel the pain, just like any other purchaser or owner of an unsatisfactory item. And, where I specifically recommend an item, I will actually be a user of that item as well!
Why this site you ask?
This site has been developed with the express intention of helping ‘mere mortals’ navigate the plethora of shops, kiosks and websites, selling the latest sporting attire, shoes & equipment. Additionally, ‘Trending’ topics such as ‘Wearable Tech’, current and future application of innovations such as sensor-enhanced clothing. While I make NO claim of being an Expert in this field, my perspective is that of a practical no- nonsense, day to day user of sporting equipment. I repeat, I am not a ‘professional sportsman’. I am however a real-life user!
